On April 28th, 2026, marking the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, the REBUILD project participated in the high-level “Safe Construction Sites” conference. This event served as a vital platform for expert discussion on the future of safety standards and professional training in the construction industry.
Addressing Key Safety Challenges
The conference, hosted by IIPLE in collaboration with INAIL (Italian National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work) and FORMEDIL (the national joint body for training and safety in the Italian construction sector), brought together industry leaders to tackle pressing sector issues.
Key topics included:
Site Supervision & Support: Enhancing practical oversight to prevent accidents.
Accident Data Analysis: Reviewing safety trends in the Bologna area.
The Role of Institutions: How INAIL promotes safer working environments.
Regulatory Updates: Navigating the latest developments in the credit-based licensing system for construction firms.
Our participation in this event is a cornerstone of the REBUILD – “Capacity Building Program for Sustainable Reconstruction” project.
Funded by the Erasmus+ programme, we are committed to empowering trainers and professionals across Europe by focusing on:
Sustainable Reconstruction & Resilience: Developing methods to rebuild in areas impacted by natural or man-made disasters.
Green & Digital Transformation: Driving the modernization of construction processes.
Safety Culture: Instilling a proactive approach to safety and prevention in every phase of construction.
International Cooperation at the Core
REBUILD leverages the expertise of partners from Italy, Poland, Austria, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine. By fostering international cooperation and exchanging best practices, we are developing innovative training pathways that elevate the quality and safety of the construction sector globally.
"Our mission goes beyond technical training; we aim to foster a culture where safety is at the heart of every construction project."
